- the Deûle-Escaut link,
- navigation on inland waterways of the continent,
- the European and transnational aspects of the Blue Links project,
- the idea of a continuous recreational navigation network 'from Limerick to Kiev'.
From 2008 on, the Deûle-Escaut link will attract some UK boaters, with a positive impact in reducing saturation of the Thames and other UK waterways.

Blue Links has a stand (No. A46) on the 2006 IWA National Festival & Boat Show. Many thousands of boaters and waterways adepts are awaited.
